Krys Ivory was an absolute pleasure to interview and graciously took a break in the middle of an album session with Ryan Leslie to speak with Socialiteis exclusively. We would also like to extend our warmest thank you’s to Signature Hits magazine for coming through and filming for us.
Krys Ivory is wise beyond her years and very personable which definitely showed through the interview. She also has an amazing range which completely blew us away upon hearing her live. A cancer survivor at such a young age, Krys is grounded in humbleness and gratefulness of knowing she was one of the lucky ones. To quote her “I hit the cancer lottery”, meaning the type of cancer she had “Hodgkin’s Lymphoma” is the deadliest. Knowing God is on her side she is taking full advantage of her great musical situation with being Ryan Leslie’s newest sensation.
Gearing up for her upcoming album, and her new mixtape that is dropping soon (she discusses within the interview), Krys is ready to show the vocal range and musical knowledge she has acquired at such a young age. Being a “preacher’s kid” growing up with her parents both in ministry, Krys has the respect for life and music that will prove key in her success through navigating in this endeavor she’s about to take through the industry.
